1. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

At this website we collect data to operate effectively and to keep you informed about our seminars, programs, trainings and services that we believe may be relevant to you.

All the information you provided will be processed and recorded with care and confidentiality. We only collect necessary personal information to reach the goals mentioned above, some of these information can include (not limited to):

  • Name and job title;
  • Contact information including email address;
  • Demographic information such as zip code, IP address, preferences and interests;
  • Other information relevant to customer surveys and offers.

Some examples on how we can record your data are:

  • When you provide us this data directly, such as when you register or download material from the website.
  • When you contact us through our contact form, phone, email, or social media.
  • When you register and/or participate in one of our events/trainings/workshops.

We take appropriate steps to maintain the security of personal data collected. The access to all the information of our subscribers is restricted to our office. Only employers from Ciência Clara who need information to undergo a specific work could have access to your personal information. The servers where we store personal data are maintained in a safe environment.

Your rights are summarised below. We are committed to ensuring that the information we hold is treated in accordance with the best practices of data protection.

  • You have the right to see the information we hold about you. You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.

  • You have the right to request us to delete your information (subject to safeguarding requirements: this does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes).

7. Direct Marketing

If you no longer wish to receive any more campaigns emails nor information from this website, you could opt out or unsubscribe. You can do this by clicking on the unsubscribe button placed at the bottom of our campaign emails, or you could contact filipa.moraes@cienciaclara.pt to cancel your subscription.

10. How long we retain your data. Holding information

The contact information is stored in Ciencia Clara internal systems hosted in Portugal, or in external systems of service providers already adhering to the GDPR e.g. Mail chimp. We will hold your information only as long as necessary or until you notify us to erase your information. You can opt-out at any point and/or get your data erased completely by writing to filipa.moraes@cienciaclara.pt.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
